Edith Cavell Surgery is participating in a food collection for a local homeless shelter “Spires”. The south London based charity helps homeless and disadvantaged people all year round and has been around since the 80’s when homelessness became a significant issue in Streatham and surrounding areas. The charity helps people who are homeless, insecurely housed, unemployed or suffering from the effects of poverty, those suffering from mental illnesses and seclusion from society.
All staff at Edith Cavell are taking part in this food drive and we welcome our patients to participate too. The following items can be donated to the shelter:
- Non-perishable foods such as canned goods (Soup, Tomatoes, Fish, Meats, etc).
- Cereals, Rice and Pasta.
The food drive is taking place between 11th and 26th May 2015. If you would like to take part please drop your donations to our reception during our usual hours.
Thank-you in advance to everyone who takes part!
